All courses are suitable or adaptable to a vegan diet.

Friday 3rd July 2020 - featuring a USA influenced menu for American Independence Day

Starter

Homemade cornbread, sweet pepper, spinach and tomato salad

Main

Making the most of the USA’s rich cultural heritage, tonight we are offering a spicy Cajun gumbo stew.  A thick and rich Louisiana casserole with Creole spices (bay leaves, paprika, cumin, chilli and more) with an onion and pepper base. To complete the dish, choose from either:

Chicken and spicy sausage

OR

Marinated tofu and / or mixed vegetables

Served with spicy rice

Dessert

A deep south classic, Mississippi mud pie (gooey chocolate sauce on a crumbly chocolate base) OR a generous portion of fresh fruit salad

Friday 10th July

Starter

Revisiting Portugal’s red pepper and red lentil dip with colourful, crunchy crudites

Main

Homemade herby, spicy ‘balls’ with a thick, rich tomato sauce and on a bed of couscous.  Also served with homemade tzatziki and a flatbread to clean the plate

Choose from:

Minced lamb OR chickpeas and vegetable meatballs

Dessert

Gooey, sticky, toffee muffins OR a generous portion of fresh fruit salad

Saturday 11th July

Starter

Homemade caramelised red onion houmous served with warmed pitta bread

Main

A warm, hearty puy lentil salad on a bed of spinach leaves, fresh tomatoes, red onions and a garlic and balsamic dressing.

Add either:

A marinated roasted chicken breast, grilled halloumi or

roasted, seasoned butternut squash

Dessert

A slice of homemade, rich, chocolate tart

(on homemade chocolate shortcrust pastry for an extra chocolate hit)

Friday 17th July

Starter

Spicy, loaded, stuffed potato skins with red onions, spring onions, sweetcorn and a sprinkling of mozzarella

Main

A creamy, paprika, mustard and herb loaded stroganoff (and a drop of brandy) served with fluffy white rice and a portion of steamed fresh, seasonal vegetables

Choose from tender beef strips OR masses of mushrooms

Dessert

A proper sized portion of zesty, zingy lemon cheesecake OR a tasty, fresh fruit salad

Saturday 18th July

Starter

Homemade nachos served with a fresh salsa – tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions and a sprinkling of feta cheese in a minty, lemony dressing

Main

It’s wraps night!! A homemade garlic dip to spread on your wrap alongside homemade coleslaw and a fresh, crunchy salad accompany the main filling.

Choose from shredded, spicy, slow roasted pork OR spicy, seasoned roasted vegetables

Dessert

British summer fool.  Fresh, local, stewed summer berries layered with an infused, whisked cream

OR a generous portion of fresh fruit salad

Friday 24th July

Starter

Homemade mushroom or smoked salmon pate

Served with fresh crusty bread

Main

It’s back – Kerry’s quiche.  Served with homemade potato salad and a crunchy garden salad.

Choose from caramelised red onion and feta; ham and mushroom or Mediterranean vegetables

Dessert

A healthy portion of homemade carrot cake (AND it counts as 1 of your 5 a day) OR a generous fresh fruit salad

Saturday 25th July

Starter

A selection of crunchy, crispy, roasted vegetable dippers

Served with a homemade garlic dip

Main

We had to… it’s back… our rich, flavoursome, slightly spicy red lentil, red pepper and sweet potato stew

Served with either:

Baked, fresh, white fish (whichever white fish looks best on the day); crispy tofu or grilled halloumi

Dessert

It’s the 70’s classic, pineapple upside down cake (rum infused, naturally) OR a portion of fresh fruit salad

Friday 31st July

Starter

A crunchy, crispy salad with a zingy, herby dressing topped with toasted sunflower seeds and homemade garlic croutons

Main

Creamy, herby, leek and mushroom sauce on a bed of tagliatelle served with a trio of steamed seasonal vegetables

Served with either:

Marinated chicken thighs OR extra mushrooms

Dessert

A slice of deep, layered key lime pie OR a decent helping of fresh fruit salad
